Observational Learning
Overview & Description:
Observational Learning, also known as social learning, occurs by observing the behaviors of others. Albert Bandura’s social learning theory emphasized the importance of observing and modeling the behaviors, attitudes, and emotional reactions of others.
Example:
A child learns to use a fork by watching their parents and mimicking their actions.
Implications:
Observational learning theories have been applied in various contexts, such as in educational settings and in developing interventions for behavioral modification.
