Flow
Overview & Description:
Flow, a concept popularized by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, is a state of intense absorption and involvement in an activity to the point where one loses a sense of time and self. It is often described as being “in the zone.”
Characteristics:

- Clarity of goals and immediate feedback
- Transformation of time (hours seem like minutes)
- A sense of intrinsic reward
- Effortlessness and ease
- Balance between the challenge of the task and one’s skills
